Effective January 1, 2025 at STAR

We are adjusting how we handle Self Pay and Out Of Network (OON) payment.

New Self Pay Price:

● All appointments (initial evaluations, re-evaluations, follow-ups): $175.00

Our clinic is in-network with CareFirst BlueCross/BlueShield and Medicare, any other payer is considered Out Of Network. For OON insurances, we ask that you pay for the session up front at the above rate and then submit a claim to your insurance. We will provide you with the necessary documentation so you can submit to your insurance and get reimbursed as quickly as possible. If you have any questions, feel free to give the office a call or email us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Public Safety Policy

In the event of a public safety issue or inclement weather in our local area, Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation will follow the guidance of local news sources. However, we encourage you to make the decision that is best for your personal safety.

If there is a potential danger to our patients or staff, we may need to close early, delay opening, or close the clinic entirely. If the clinic is closed during your scheduled appointment, our staff will make every effort to contact you by phone, email, and/or text. 

If you're unsure whether the clinic is open, please call us at 202-223-1737 to confirm. If we are unavailable, leave a detailed message on our voicemail and we will return your call as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can email us at info@starptdc.com. 

If you feel it is unsafe to travel to your appointment due to public safety concerns or inclement weather, please contact us to reschedule. We will not charge any cancellation fees if you notify us before the start of your scheduled appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate a prompt reschedule.

Please note: If the clinic remains open and you do not make an effort to contact a staff member, a cancellation/no-show fee of $70.00 will apply.

New Patient Features

Our practice will be switching our systems on September 23, 2024. The new system provides digital features to ensure you get the best possible care! Below are some powerful tools and interactions that you may receive via text or email during your time with us:

Online Scheduling: We offer online scheduling so that you can book the appropriate number of visits with our team ensuring you get better faster :)

Automated Waitlist: If we have an opening that meets your desired time/day preferences, we will text/email you to let you know and give you a chance to book those visits with one click before someone else does.

Visit Reminders: Prior to each visit, we will send out text and/or email reminders based on your preferences

Plan of Care Compliance: Once per week, we'll reach out to let you know if you are not booked for the number of visits each week that is best for your particular case! We'll include a link to our online scheduling to find openings available

Opportunity Automation: Once per week we will notify you if any openings are available for next week that meet your desired preferences

E-Intake: We offer electronic intake to allow you to complete any necessary paperwork prior to your arrival at our clinic

Home Exercise Program: Your therapist may share with you a home exercise plan that you can complete online. See below for information about downloading the app.

Electronic Statements: If you have a balance, we'll email you a statement with a link to make a quick and easy payment!

NPS Surveys: Periodically throughout your care, we will reach out to inquire how we are doing so far. We love your feedback!
